2001: Ivan and Siggy Reunion
Siggy and Ivan were roommates at the Mercersburg Academy, a (then) repressive, (but still) zero-tolerance, private secondary school in South-Central Pennsylvania. Our first band, Ivan and the Terribles, born in 1964, couldn't survive its first critical review in the school newspaper (`Went to the pep rally; heard Ivan and the Terribles live up to their name').

But we lived to play again. Our third band, The Motley Crew (Yes, we had the name first -- why do you think those other guys spelled it funny?), won the battle of the bands against Stark Ravin' and the Madmen, which took place at the Mercersburg/Penn Hall dance in the fall of 1966.

Ivan and Siggy were chronic disciplinary problems. Both participated in the infamous French Club Trip, for which Ivan got expelled in January of his senior year. Siggy didn't get expelled, but he had to walk so much guard duty that he still has an attitude today.

We stoked both our attitudes when we got together (December 23, 2001) at Siggy's place in Manhasset, NY, which is where these pictures were taken.
